I have a Christmas Tree problem...

I admit that I have a Christmas Tree problem, usually it is the bigger the better for me. It is a problem my parents have been dealing with for years. Every year I take FOREVER to pick out the tree because it has to be PERFECT! Well, this year Adam and I decided that instead of putting our Christmas Tree in the living room with the cathedral ceiling, we would put it in the kitchen to be away from the wood stove. (The kitchen ceiling is at the most maybe 7 feet tall!)

With the snow day today, we decided to take the time to go get the tree. I didn't really want to put a lot of time into it because I knew I would be disappointed with the SMALL tree we would have to get. We went to the nursery down the street and started looking at trees. I found one that I liked that appeared to be the right size...well, I guess that I didn't take into consideration that I was standing on the freshly fallen snow and that the trees were resting in PVC pipes pushed into the ground...so we purchased what I like to describe as our 6 foot 36 inch tree...
This is the room that the tree was suppose to go in...notice the extremely low ceilings and the archway from the living room into the kitchen.

Here it is...

Adam standing on the step ladder to give you a better idea of the size of our "small tree!"

I have been laughing since we brought the tree inside. Adam said that he is in charge of picking the tree next year. All I can say is that I REALLY tried to pick a smaller tree!
